Over the past two years, Bankstown City Aged Care has been working on the creation of a new memory care unit at our Yallambee Village in Revesby.
We are very pleased to say that this project is now completed and opened in August 2018. The new building is called Bill’s Place, in memory of Bill Bullard, who was a former President, Director and Life Member of Revesby Workers’ Club. The name of this building was chosen by Revesby Workers Club who have been wonderful supporters of Yallambee Village over many years. Bill’s Place will have cost more than $15M when complete and Revesby Workers Club have donated $500,000 towards this project. We would like to thank them for their generous support which is greatly appreciated.
Bill’s Place is the home for up to 48 residents in a wonderfully furnished, homelike environment. It has secure parking for both staff and visitors and the resident rooms are spread over two floors. Each floor has an east and west wing, both with 12 rooms, and there is a common dining area for the residents to enjoy their meals. At the centre of the building there is a sunny north-facing courtyard for residents to roam and enjoy the gardens, and there are plenty of places to sit and relax, inside and out. We are very pleased with the finished product and it is unlike anything else we have built in the past. We hope you like it as much as we do.
