We began development of a state-of-the-art, purpose-built residential Memory Care Unit to assist those living with dementia.
Built as an extension of Yallambee Village, the Memory Care Unit will offer an innovative lifestyle program including music, art, and humour therapy, access to a sensory garden, and use of Paro — our resident robotic seal who is specially designed to support those with dementia.
Development commenced in 2017, and the unit due to open February 2018. This has all been made possible through the generous donations of Revesby Workers’ Club who have donated $500K over a five-year period.
