The philosophy behind our residential care is to provide an environment for residents that delivers a sense of independence, exceptional comfort, and everyday enjoyment. BCAC Residential Care

At Bankstown City Aged Care, our 2 facilities cater for all different types of aged care needs. Each facility is modern and beautiful, containing a warm, family-friendly environment.
Our inclusive community outlook filters into everything we do across all of our facilities; we always promote freedom of choice and respect our residents’ rights at all times.
Our two facilities can cater for residents living with dementia; however, depending on the recommendation of a medical team and the level of care required, we can provide secure dementia-specific accommodation for those with higher needs.
The philosophy behind our care is based on meeting the needs of our residents, including residents living with dementia. Our staff receive extensive dementia-specific training, with special focus on social connectedness, a sense of purpose and meaning, freedom of choice and enjoyment of day-to-day activities.

Respite Care

We understand the importance of maintaining your independence and staying within your own home. If you or your carer ever need some extra support, or simply a safe, comfortable space to relax, our respite service might be able to help.
If you are interested in respite care, you’ll need to obtain an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) assessment from My Aged Care – call 1800 200 422. In most cases, a person can have up to 63 days of respite care in one financial year. However, if ACAT deems it necessary, extensions of up to 21 days at a time are possible. Please contact our Facility Managers to discuss the availability and suitability for respite care.
