The social support group (Betty Sussman Centre) is located on the Gillawarna grounds in a beautiful and welcoming setting, providing support to clients funded under the Commonwealth Home Support Program. The Betty Sussman Centre offers a range of activities designed to promote social interaction and support clients’ social, physical, and emotional wellbeing, while also giving carers valuable respite from their daily responsibilities.

The Betty Sussman Centre operates its own bus service, with staff collecting clients from their homes and returning them at the end of the day. A small daily fee applies, which covers transport, activities, and refreshments. Clients also have the opportunity to participate in bus outings.

The Betty Sussman Centre is available to older clients living in the Canterbury Bankstown Council area who can engage meaningfully in activities with minimal assistance from staff.
