At Bankstown City Aged Care, we understand that wellbeing is about more than just physical health, it’s also about emotional wellness, social connection and feeling part of something meaningful. That’s exactly what our Wellness Centre offers: a supportive, inclusive space where movement, health education and community come together.
Since its opening in 2017, the BCAC Wellness Centre has been a vibrant hub for seniors in our local area. With programs developed in consultation with Western Sydney University, our approach is built on evidence, compassion and a deep understanding of the needs of older adults.
We proudly support individuals at all stages of their wellness journey, from those managing chronic conditions or musculoskeletal issues to those seeking to improve their general fitness and mobility. Our highly qualified Exercise Physiologists work with each participant to tailor a personalised plan that suits their goals, needs and lifestyle. But what truly makes our Wellness Centre special isn’t just the exercise programs or state-of-the-art equipment – it’s the community.
A Place to Belong
When you walk into the Wellness Centre, you’re not just signing up for a fitness class, you’re joining a welcoming group of like-minded individuals who value health, laughter and connection. Whether it’s a group workout session followed by a friendly chat, there’s always an opportunity to connect and engage with others.
Maintaining an active social life is essential to emotional wellbeing, especially as we age. That’s why the Wellness Centre prioritises fun, social exercise programs and a warm, inclusive environment that encourages friendships to grow. From celebrating each other’s progress to simply enjoying a laugh during class, the Wellness Centre is a place where everyone feels seen, supported and valued.
Designed for Your Health and Your Lifestyle
Our facilities are equipped with the latest in senior-friendly fitness technology from HUR Australia, ensuring a safe and effective workout tailored specifically to the needs of older adults. Whether you’re focusing on strength, balance, mobility or recovery, our programs are designed to promote reablement, rehabilitation and restoration.
Each participant begins with a thorough health and fitness assessment, allowing us to create a personalised program that adapts as your needs evolve. We also offer progress monitoring, so you and your Exercise Physiologist can track your improvements and celebrate your achievements.
