Meet BCAC’s Admission Manager, Jasmeen Begg. Originally coming from an advertising and finance background, Jasmeen came to the aged care industry 14 years ago and hasn’t looked back since.
“I still remember when I interviewed 14 years ago for a special project position in aged care. The interviewer said to me ‘you will never find anything like aged care, it is a different experience to any other industry.’ Coming from an advertising and finance background, I didn’t quite understand what the interviewer meant until I started working in aged care,” Jasmeen shared.
Over the course of her career, Jasmeen has had the opportunities to work in various departments within the aged care sector. “Through my 14 years, I have had the opportunity to work in various departments which has subsequently allowed me to gain the skills and knowledge to oversee the aged care admissions, which I absolutely love with a passion!”
Jasmeen’s passion for her work is evident in her dedication to helping families and residents through the admissions process. “There is nothing more satisfying than loving what you do. I enjoy interacting with people, sharing stories and having a good laugh.”
The most rewarding part of her job, according to Jasmeen, is the positive impact that she makes on the lives of others. “The greatest gift I get from my job is helping families and residents. There is no bigger satisfaction than when families and residents come back to say this was one of the best decisions they made.”
