Visiting in residential aged care facilities will commence from next Monday 11 October 2021.

The Public Health Order (PHO) is expected to be released by the government within the next 24 -36 hours which will outline the requirements aged care providers need to have in place by next Monday.  As soon as this PHO is available we will review it and will email families with the details.

We do know the following is expected to be included:

Commencement date   Monday 11 October 2021

Number of visitors          2 (two) per resident per day.

It is unlikely children will be included as permitted visitors in the first stage of the easing of restrictions

Vaccination status requirements

All visitors must be double vaccinated and it is likely the second dose must have been given at least 14 days prior to the day the visitor enters the site

We will request evidence of your double vaccination on entry to site.

Visiting location

All visits will need to be in the residents room or outdoors

The industry was updated today by NSW Health about resident bus trips and at this stage they are not allowed.

Aged care providers will still need to comply with a range of other COVID safe restrictions, and one way we will be managing this will be through an online booking system which will be available on our website once the Public Health Order details are available to us.

We will provide you with more details in the next few days.

We cannot provide greater clarity at this stage, as we need the PHO to guide our decision making processes.

Thank you for your patience.
