Aged care providers in NSW have not received updated advice from NSW Health since we wrote to you on 7 January 2021, so all the previously listed restrictions remain in place.

Two visitors can visit one resident once per day on the following day and times at all BCAC facilities.  The entry screening times will be:

  • Saturday 16 January  9am – 3pm
  • Monday 18  January 9am – 7pm.
  • Wednesday 20 January 9am – 3pm

We have reviewed the time you can stay in the facility and effective immediately once you enter and have been screened you can stay as long as you like.

We will still need to prescreen visitors prior to entering our sites for their home suburb location so all visits will need to be pre booked through reception during office hours.  This will also assist us manage the numbers of people on site at any one time.

We are encouraging family members who provide an essential caring function to continue this.

We still view all external outings as high risk and will be requiring any residents who leave the facility for social leave to isolate for 14 days.

All essential external medical appointments will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

An update on visiting will be provided next Wednesday 20 January.
