We were thrilled to partner with Western Sydney University to open our brand-new seniors-focused Wellness Centre.

Oficially opened by Hon Jason Clare MP (Member for Blaxland NSW) and Councillor Khal Asfour (Mayor of Canterbury Bankstown Council), the BCAC Wellness Centre gives our senior community the opportunity to maintain or improve their physical health within a safe and friendly environment.

Equipped with state-of-the-art equipment by HUR — world leaders in seniors fitness — and overseen by an accredited exercise physiologist, seniors can participate in:

  • Group exercise sessions and classes
  • One-on-one exercise physiology sessions
  • Injury and chronic management classes
  • Healthy lifestyle advice seminars
  • Education sessions with guest speakers

This initiative is part of our focus on wellness and demonstrates our understanding of the importance of people’s wellbeing in staying independent at home and feeling connected to their community.

The Wellness Centre is open Monday to Friday.

“I have been doing very well with my balance since I started here. I feel steadier on my feet since beginning my exercise program. I can walk straighter and I am much less afraid of falling over. I also really love the balance games and I am getting better at them each day, I even challenge the younger members to contests.” – Trevor
